Lead Systems Administrator

Job Description

We need an experienced Systems Administrator that has experience maintaining computer hardware and software.  The ideal candidate possesses the ability to be hands on and lead a team that delivers high availability and security in a local data center.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Leads the team to deliver high availability.
• Participates in /drives security and system audits.
• Works with software development teams to deliver reliable infrastructure.
• Plans & coordinates system utilization, growth analysis & capacity planning
• Maintain security related hardware and software experience; LAN/WAN management and systems administration, TCP/IP, security and firewall maintenance
• Troubleshoots network, systems and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational problems
• Maintain & coordination of web & SQL servers for data center 24x7 availability

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to be a team player and willingness to step up when needed.
• Outstanding customer service and interaction skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communications skills. Experience as a lead strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with server applications in a Microsoft networked environment.
• Microsoft Certified IP Professional (MCITP) or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)
• High level of expertise in the following areas:
         Windows 2000/2003, 2008R2 Server
         Active Directory management
         Security management, including Group Policy Objects
         Exchange 2003/2010 administration & support

                 Knowledge of SQL database management & support

                 IIS Web server configuration

• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Comfortable working in a web-based software development environment
• Practical experience with Linux and UNIX systems.
  
• Practical experience with LAN/WAN network administration.
  
• Technical Project management and documentation skills.
  
• High level of initiative and dedication.
  
• Demonstrated ability to be a team player and willingness to step up when needed.
